A thin blackened arc holds a single translucent disc in suspension, tethered by a wire so fine the shade appears to float inside the curve. Light rises from a cylindrical base in warm clay and washes up across the face of the stone, which diffuses it into something closer to dusk than to lamplight. The disc pivots on its axis, so the throw can be aimed at a wall, a ceiling, or the floor. It reads as sculpture first and as a light source second.

Unplug before cleaning. Dust the stone disc with a dry microfibre cloth only, as it is porous and marks permanently with solvents or damp. Wipe the blackened metal arc dry and never use abrasives or polish. Wipe the clay base with a soft dry cloth. Variation in the stone's veining is inherent to the material.
